A “last” we (probably) didn’t consider

One of my former students, Holly, has a sweet daughter, Emmy, who is finishing up her first year of middle school. I asked Emmy what she most missed about elementary school.

“Recess,” she said. “I had no idea that when I left elementary, there’s be no more recess!”
