Nothing Matters Everything Matters

Earth, seemingly insignificant, lit by our sun

Nothing matters

We’re all

Insignificant specks

In a dispassionate universe

Where how we spend

Our days

Our dollars

Our energy

Our time

Our lives

In a hundred years

Won’t matter

All our failures

All our accomplishments

All our relationships

All our choices

All our things

Will evanesce

Yet

Every sunrise we experience

Every lesson we learn

Every success we have

Every hug we give (and get)

Every tear we shed

Every friend we make

Every joy we feel

Every person we help

Every animal we aid

Every gratitude we offer

Every curiosity we explore

Every breath we breathe

Makes me believe

Everything matters
