I've been watching Selena, the Series on Netflix. There's a short dialog in episode 4 that made me pause and rewind. Twice. I needed to write it down.

Selena: You guys ever wonder why we’re here? Suzette (Selena's sister): Where? Selena: Here. Like in the world. What our purpose is. AB (her brother): No Selena: No? I do. And I think mine is to do exactly what I’m doing. I mean it. This is exactly where I want to be.
It's startling how succinctly she summarized what we should be asking ourselves every morning.
What's my purpose?
Am I doing exactly what I should be doing?
Am I exactly where I should be?
I wonder, how many of us, like Selena, can answer number one and say yes to two and three. Fifty percent? Fifteen? Five? If we don't have an answer for #1 and can't answer Yes to two and three, it's time for contemplation and (probably) change.
Because, as Selena's story teaches us, we won't have forever to figure it out.
