It's whom you're with - and an invite to spend time with spirit-magnifying people

Note: I tried to design this. It sucks. Can you help me design a better one? Please!

I taught this to my children and students in the context of college and career choice. If you're with the right people, picking up trash can be fun. If you're with the wrong people, a trip to Disneyland can be hell.

Lately, I've been thinking about it in terms of retirement. Where I live is important. I'll need to consider housing costs, health care, climate conditions (Will our house burn down?!), recreational opportunities, taxes...

How I spend my days is how I'll spend my life. So what I actually do each day is vital. I want to read, write, exercise, be outdoors and engage in work that contributes to my well-being and, in some way, improves the world.

Still, who I spend my days with will matter most. For example, I want to spend as much time as I can with these two.

And, both physically or (especially now) virtually, I want to meet-up with spirit-magnifying people to talk about our lives. Because when I spend time with bright, compassionate, motivated people, I feel wiser, better and inspired.

Speaking of which, this Thursday, (September 24th) from 7:00-8:30 some friends of mine are going to be leading a Q & A session and discussion about race and what we can do to improve the world.

I'll be hosting the meeting on Zoom. Please come! If you have questions and want to participate and share, I'd love that. If not, just being there and listening can be spirit-magnifying, too.

Let me know, and I'll send you the Zoom link. I'd love to see your face Thursday night!

P.S. I'm sure voting will come up, and I just learned about iwillvote.com.

Such a great, needed, valuable site!
